Oakland Unified School District
Pronto is a district-wide transportation partner to OUSD, and has been every year since 2022. Oakland Goes Outdoors, the Extended Learning Program, athletics and field trips all book through the same route, and every invoice goes to the business office against your PO.
For program leads, activities clerks, athletic directors and site coordinators across the district.

How to book
Book online in a few steps, or email us. Either way you get a firm quote you can put in front of your business office.
Billed direct to you against your purchase order. No card needed.
What we run for you
The programs we carry
OUSD moves students for four distinct reasons, and each one books a little differently. Naming your program on the request is what lets us quote it at the right rate and put the right coordinator on the day.
Oakland Goes Outdoors
Outdoor and environmental education. Long travel days, early departures and destinations well outside Alameda County — quoted on the real drive, not an optimistic one.
Extended Learning Program
After-school and expanded learning. Best booked as a standing schedule for the term rather than trip by trip.
Athletics
League fixtures, tournaments and playoffs. Tell us the fixture time rather than a guess at the finish, and late returns are routine.
Field trips
Museums, parks, coastal study and college visits, for a class, a grade or a whole school.
Pronto says Oakland Goes Outdoors, Expanded Learning and Athletics each book differently. Name the programme on the request and it goes to the right coordinator.
How your account is organised
District programmes and individual schools, side by side. Each level sees everything inside it and nothing above it.

Programmes and schools shown are illustrative. Tell us your structure and we build yours to match - there is no limit on levels, billing accounts or departments.
Booking from a school site
The agreement is district-wide, but the paperwork is not — each site raises its own purchase order, with its own clerk. Tell us the school site and the program on the request and the quote comes back addressed to that site, ready to attach to your PO. If several sites are travelling to the same place on the same day, say so: we can often run it as one schedule and split the invoice.
Your site, your quote
Quotes are issued per school site, not per district, so they match the PO you raise.
Shared trips
Two or three sites going to the same destination can share a schedule at a lower cost per site.
Late returns
Athletics returns after 6pm are routine for us — tell us the fixture time, not a guess at the finish.

Your companion and guide
Pronto is a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel puppy and the reason a lot of this exists. He turns up wherever the community does — field trips, outdoor education, college tours, league games. If you spot him, tag him.
Pronto says each school books against its own account, and the district still sees every trip.
Standing schedules for recurring programs
Summer programs, weekly enrichment and multi-week sessions do not need a booking each time. Send the whole schedule once and we hold the seats for the term — the same curb, the same time, the same driver where we can.
